biography

Guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer Marcel Singor was born on the Dutch island Terschelling on April 23, 1972
He first picked up a guitar nine years later and won the national guitar awards at the age of 13.

His reputation as a very young virtuoso guitar player grew quickly, as did the number of bands in wich his talents were displayed.
After a while Marcel's growing interest in singing, songwriting and recording resulted in forming and fronting the band XAM, who also released an aponymous album in 1997.

All kinds of session work followed and XAM became MAXVILLE, who also released an extremely well received CD in 2002. Right now Marcel is working as a solo artist (fairly literally, as he plays, writes, sings and records pretty much everything himself) and is also a member of the band BRANKO, as well as a session musician.
